If you liked it, if you didn’t like it, if you loved it, just let me know that you’re alive! I’m going to be giving away some FREE COPIES of the NEW “No Gi Made Easy 2.0″ training course, and to be able to get a chance to win a FREE copy, all you have to do is post your comment below.

good simple move, to get a reversal, will try the next time someone tries a north south position on me.
I am a 5′2″ 145lbs student and always train with much bigger guys. This technique will be invaluable. I only ask one thing, wait awhile before you show how to counter this move so I can use it on the guys and totally freak them out!
Thanks!
Man, that is AWESOME!!!!!
badass. practical, simple, effective.
Okay guys, I love the videos but I have a questions on this one. Why did you show the movement going one directions at the start then show the movement and arm securing going the other direction on the second half? I get that this could be used to some extent both ways but you state that you are going a specific direction due to the position on both of them with opposite reasoning.I am confused. thanks. Keep up the good info.
Looks like a great, simple way to escape the north/south. A couple of questions though 1) he is bridging under the armpit in the instructional portion, but he bridges into the neck side of the over-under in the drilling sequence. Is there a reason for that? 2) Is this No Gi Made Easy set different from the original version? Thanks,
-Pete
Good simple but very effective technique. i will be practicing it.od simple but very effective te
rGreat looking move! I am definitely going to use this one in class tonight! Thanks for your insight and willingness to share your knowledge!
Thats a very cool move. I think it def will work for me becasue i am able to muscle that position
The video shows two ways to bridge. Which way is more effective? over the head or over the armpit?
Phenom techniuqe and great instruction!
Once again Mr. Irvin and his team have done an exceptional job. As a never-ending student of the martial arts it is good to know that the material contained on these videos will make a black belt realize that they may be a black belt in their hips but a white belt in your mind!
Great technique I will try this in class tonight if I get in that position. One thing I did notice you said it is better to use the arm that is behind the armpit but during the demo you used the one that was not. Just curious.
Great technique cant wait to try it out. One thing I noticed , you said its best to use the arm under the armpit but you used the other one during the demos. Any reason for that?
That was a really simple escape. I really liked it. So easy a caveman can do it!!
That was a really simple escape. I really liked it. So eaReally nice escape!!sy a caveman can do it!!
I have used this for a little while with mixed results. You cleared a couple of things up for me. Thanks.
I have purchased many products from Master Irvin …. all of them great!!! very Technicalinstruction!!
nice move worth to try
Hey mike I noticed you did the move differently on JT and the other guy even though the arms were in the same position. Is it ok to roll either side?
In the technique demonstration, they have you bridge towards the shoulder that is not trapped (over-hook angle) into the opponent’s hip. This makes you bridge into the opponent’s armpit and trap them that way. In the final demonstration, Fowler does the exact opposite and attacks the opponent’s head instead of his hip. To me, it looks like the angle is wrong to get the bridge.
Excellent move and top notch instruction by the Lloyd Irvin team!
sweet tech. Thanks Lloyd
i have really enjoyed the detail you are showing thank you
I cant wait to get my hands on this set!
Fantastic!
Very nice. When Mike reaches back to block the elbow I have seen that refered to as combing the hair . Escapes interest me very much. Thanks.
As an ex-wrestler I use this technique naturally, but I’ll be able to clean it up a bit after the video. Thanks!
All I ever ask for in an instructional DVD is 3 things:
1) That the instruction is clear and understandable, (2) that the techniques are effective and (3) that the people demonstrating and explaining the techniques have made them work in actual tournaments or combat. Lloyd Irvin and his team are at the very top of a short list of DVD instructionals wthat can meet the requirements.
very good instruction nice move and most taught and explained in a simple manner
As always: nice technique, very good didactical presentation
Thanks for a great escape and your dvds back attack secrets are awesome.
anks
Very simple and effective. I always have a hard time escaping north-south; now I have an effective option! Thanks for the detailed instruction!
